About The Track
Located just outside Harrisburg in Grantville, Pennsylvania, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course features a year-round Thoroughbred racing track and a full casino experience with slots, table games, and sportsbook wagering.
TRACK HISTORY
When it opened in August 1972, Penn National was the first track built strictly for thoroughbreds and the only one-mile lighted track in the country. Since then, the owners of the track (what is now PENN Entertainment) have seen some of the highest growth and innovations across the industry.
RACE HISTORY
Penn National is home to the Penn Mile, which started in 2013. This race, open to three-year-olds, is held on the turf and has achieved Grade III status.
