For an opportunity to participate in the lucrative PA-bred breeder’s program, the Fasig-Tipton Eastern Fall Yearling Sale catalogued forty-one PA-bred yearlings in its upcoming sale on Tuesday, October 27th at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, MD. The yearlings are by a wide selection of young stallions, like Arcangelo, Mage, and Warrant along with older, proven sires like leading PA sire Weigelia, and Social Inclusion who returned to PA this year.
The Eastern Fall Yearling Sale supports the regional marketplace and includes yearlings bred in MD, VA, WV, PA, NJ, and NY. Other earnings potentials and opportunities include Delaware certified, Virginia certified, West Virginia certified, and enrollment in the Maryland Million. Also, the Eastern Fall Yearling Sale is offering a $500,000 bonus to be awarded if a graduate of the sale wins the 2028 Preakness Stakes. The bonus will be divided equally with $250,000 to the winner’s owner, and $250,000 to the horse’s owner at the time of the sale.
Wynoaks Farm in Delta, PA, home of one of Pennsylvania’s leading stallions, Weigelia, is offering the last Weigelia yearlings. “We are excited to be offering a really nice group of yearlings by Weigelia. He is retired, so this is the last time that his yearlings will be offered for sale,” said Barbara Wheeler of Wynoaks Farm. “We have four, and they are all Pennsylvania-bred and sired, so they have the potential to earn significant awards. We also have a Cloud Computing which is also PA-sired. We have a nice consignment, and we’re looking forward to the sale,” Wheeler said.
Former steeplechase rider, Chris Gracie, now runs a full-service bloodstock agency near Kennett Square, PA and is bringing a consignment to the sale. “We will have some nice PA-breds, and they are shipping in to the sale over the weekend,” said Gracie.

Long-time consignor Marshall Silverman owns a farm near the Mason-Dixon line in New Freedom, PA, and his consignment includes eleven PA-breds. “We have some nice yearlings out of nice mares,” said Silverman. “We have a good selection of stallions too. We have a nice Drain the Clock out of a stake producer, and we have a big, strong colt by Golden Lad out of a nice mare. We have a Cloud Computing out of a stake producer, and we have an Uncle Lino that earned black-type since the catalogue,” he said. “Hopefully, buyers will still have some money after the ongoing sale in Kentucky. They are cataloging them under state this time, so we’ll see how it goes,” Silverman said.
The sale runs Tuesday, October 27, 2026 beginning at 11 A.M.
