Hanover, PA — On April 16, 2020, Hanover Shoe Farms Executive Vice President Bridgette Jablonsky, V.M.D., announced the establishment of a $250,000 matching fund grant to support the work of restoring full integrity to the harness racing industry.

In that announcement, Jablonsky noted “investigative services appear to be necessary to aid the racing commissions in investigating wrongdoing…to support the work of restoring full integrity to our sport.”

The project is moving forward and the announcement of formal details is anticipated to be released next month.

“Our integrity project, which is under review by a leading Pennsylvania law firm, is making good progress,” explained Hanover Shoe Farms President and CEO Russell Williams, who also serves as president of the U.S. Trotting Association. “We realized shortly after the original announcement that a completely independent structure would be required because it must be above any charge of influence or conflict of interest.

“We expect to announce full details sometime in early July,” added Williams.
