Wilkes-Barre, PA — The Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association is pleased to announce a new director to its board.

Matt Kakaley, leading driver at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania for the past two seasons, was recently seated at the March PHHA Board of Directors meeting. Boasting an 18-year career in the sport, Kakaley was one of the most active drivers of 2023, starting in over 3,000 races. Matt and his longtime girlfriend Annie are proud parents to daughter Arianna.

Additionally at the March meeting, Jacob Hartline was voted into the vice president position. An accomplished trainer at both PHHA tracks, Pocono and Harrah’s Philadelphia, Hartline has been a PHHA director for over a decade.
