About The Track

Located about 25 miles from Pittsburgh, Hollywood Casino at The Meadows features a harness-racing track that runs year-round and a 24/7 slot machine casino.

TRACK HISTORY

The track officially opened as The Meadows in June 1963 under the Washington Trotting Association. In 1973, the association was purchased by a group that included notable trainer and driver Delvin Miller. As Pennsylvania gambling legislation started to pass in the early 2000s, The Meadows sought to obtain a gambling license. It was awarded in 2006, and its casino opened in 2007.

RACE HISTORY

The Meadows is home to The Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids, a one-mile race for three-year-old Standardbred colts and geldings that has been held annually since 1967. The race is named after The Meadows Racetrack founder Delvin Miller and his famous stallion, Adios.

TRACK FACTS

  • The racetrack is ⅝ of a mile long and has a traditional stone dust/crushed limestone surface. Because the standard harness racing distance is 1 mile, horses start on the backstretch and complete three turns. 
  • The Meadows holds live horse races and daily nationwide simulcast racing all year long.
  • Adios, Delvin Miller’s famous stallion, isn’t only remembered by the race that bears his name. There’s a statue of him at the track entrance, too!
  • In 2009, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission recognized Delvin Miller’s impact with a historical marker at the track. 
  • In July 2026, the track broke its betting record with a two-day total of $2,696,500.
